Abstract

In emerging economies like India, banking sector is very important. But banking sector is at 'crossroads'. There are many issues which this sector is facing and research which would generate fresh ideas for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the banking sector. [Inaugural address delivered at the 1st Banking Research Conference organized by Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics and IBS" in collaboration with IBS Hyderabad].
