Abstract

The NEC Shillong has assigned the National Institute of Rural Development, North Eastern Regional Centre (NIRD-NERC), Guwahati to prepare a report on “Poverty Eradication in the North Eastern Region†with the following objectives- 1. To identify the factors constituting the poverty. 2. To examine poverty eradication policy initiatives. 3. To understand the status of and dimensions of poverty. 4. Recommendations and suggestions.
