Los cambios recientes en el mercado de trabajo del Uruguay

Abstract

Pagina nueva 1 El presente trabajo analiza el comportamiento y características del mercado de trabajo del Uruguay Urbano en los últimos años, continuando la línea de los estudios que la Oficina CEPAL de Montevideo ha venido realizando al respecto. En términos generales se han encontrado como características destacables con respecto a la oferta de trabajo en el período que se inicia en 1984: el crecimiento de la participación de la mujer y de los jóvenes, y un mayor aumento de los activos y ocupados en el Interior Urbano respecto a Montevideo. En los últimos semestres se observan algunos cambios con respecto a estos temas y nuevos comportamientos que llaman a la reflexión, en particular sobre la participación de las personas entre los 14 y 19 años y las mayores de 50 años.
