Características principales del proceso y de la política de industrialización de Centroamérica, 1960 a 1980

Abstract

Expone las caracteristicas basicas del desarrollo industrial de la region en el largo plazo, con referencia especial a la evolucion y a la situacion en que se encontraba el sector manufacturero a fines del decenio de los 70; analiza los principales elementos de la politica de industrializacion y en particular los que llegaron a aplicarse de hecho por las autoridades correspondientes; recoge parcialmente la experiencia alcanzada en la participacion del sector publico, la inversion extranjera y el empresario privado como agentes del proceso industrializador; y hace referencia al comportamiento del comercio exterior de manufacturas y a la importancia del intercambio de manufacturas en la expansion de la produccion industrial en el area.
