Abstract

El diagnostico del desarrollo economico y social del estado de Bahia, Brasil, se inicia con una discusion de los antecedentes historico-sociales de la region para luego presentar, a partir de informacion estadistica detallada, un analisis detenido de: a).la fase actual de la economia destacando su evolucion, el empleo y la inversion y las principales corrientes comerciales b).los recursos humanos naturales disponibles; c).los aspectos sectoriales con enfasis en el sector agropecuario, la mineria y la industria de transformacion asi como en la infraestructura basica; d).las estructuras y procesos espaciales con especial referencia a los aspectos estructurales del espacio geoeconomico y e).el papel y los aportes del sector publico estadual y federal al proceso de desarrollo
