Abstract

Este documento tiene tres propósitos: identificar en primer lugar las etapas históricas por las que atravesó el ILPES en el marco del pensamiento cepalino desde su creación, hace 50 años. Este documento tiene tres propósitos: identificar en primer lugar las etapas históricas por las que atravesó el ILPES en el marco del pensamiento cepalino desde su creación, hace 50 años. El tercer propósito en este documento es identificar y describir cual es o son los paradigmas epistemológicos por los que debería transitar ILPES en la búsqueda,( mediante un trabajo mancomunado con los Gobiernos), de procesos sostenibles de desarrollo. Al cierre del documento, frente a la pregunta acerca de ¿Qué conocimientos desarrollar? ¿Para generar qué capacidades? y en vistas a ¿Qué desarrollo?, se sugieren un conjunto de líneas temáticas y metodológicas como desafíos para el ILPES de los próximos años, tomando en cuenta los aportes de invitados especiales al Seminario de conmemoración de los 50 años de ILPES, , entre ellos Osvaldo Sunkel; el Director de ILPES, Jorge Máttar; el Ministro de Planificación y Política Económica del Gobierno de Costa Rica, Roberto Gallardo, y Juan Carlos Ramírez, ex Director de ILPES y actual Director de la oficina de CEPAL en Bogotá.
