Las reformas sociales en acción: experiencias ministeriales

Abstract

A partir de la afirmación común de que el crecimiento económico y el mercado como instrumento no resuelven por sí solos la pobreza ni la falta de equidad, por lo que las políticas sociales adquieren una importancia fundamental en el logro de esos objetivos, se presenta este número de la serie Políticas Sociales titulado Las reformas sociales en acción: experiencias ministeriales". Sus autores analizan los cambios ocurridos en el enfoque del programa de superación de la pobreza en Chile, y en el ámbito de la política educativa y el acceso al conocimiento, considerados como factores conducentes al logro de una mayor equidad y superación de la pobreza. Ambas ponencias fueron presentadas a la "Reunión de expertos sobre eficiencia y equidad en las reformas sociales de los años noventa", realizada en la CEPAL, en Santiago de Chile, entre el 22 y el 24 de agosto de 1995."
