Capital social de los y las jóvenes: propuestas para programas y proyectos

Abstract

Este documento presenta los trabajos seleccionados en el concurso Capital social de los y las jóvenes. Propuestas para programas y proyectos", convocado por la División de Desarrollo Social de CEPAL en diciembre del año 2002 y enero del año 2003, a jóvenes investigadores latinoamericanos que se encuentran realizando estudios en áreas vinculadas al capital social y a la juventud. Dicho concurso representa una iniciativa novedosa de fomento de campos de investigación vinculados a los problemas que afectan en la actualidad a los jóvenes y constituye un medio de promoción de redes entre jóvenes, es decir, del capital social juvenil. Asimismo, refleja una modalidad adecuada para el levantamiento de información sobre la juventud desde la juventud, contribuyendo con ello a procesos auto reflexivos y de auto observación en este grupo de la población. El marco general de esta iniciativa se basa en el interés de CEPAL por explorar la potencialidad de este concepto como herramienta para enfrentar la pobreza de América Latina y relevar el tema de la juventud, entre otros, en los procesos de desarrollo."
