Abstract

Este número de la serie "Políticas Sociales" reúne cinco ponencias presentadas al Seminario "Experiencias y metodologías de la investigación participativa, las cuales abordan antecedentes teóricos e históricos de la investigación participativa y su potencial aporte para fomentar la participación de la ciudadanía en el diseño e implementación de las políticas públicas y programas sociales. El reconocimiento de las limitaciones arrojadas por las metodologías tradicionales de investigación de las ciencias sociales y la importancia creciente de propuestas de una mayor participación ciudadana en los programas de superación de la pobreza, denotan la necesidad de generar iniciativas de discusión interdisciplinarias en torno al valor de los mecanismos de participación presentes en las estrategias de desarrollo. En este marco, la reunión congregó a diversos investigadores que pudiesen aportar experiencias significativas en cuanto a la aplicación de herramientas participativas, con el objetivo de abrir nuevas interrogantes que permitan alimentar propuestas de carácter estratégico generadas desde la sociedad civil.
