¿Hacia dónde va el gasto público en educación?: logros y desafíos, volumen III: una mirada comparativa

Abstract

Resumen Este tercer volumen de la serie ¿Hacia dónde va el gasto público en educación? Logros y desafíos" reúne cinco ponencias presentadas al taller sobre "Evaluación de la Gestión del Gasto Público en Educación", organizado conjuntamente con la Oficina de Evaluación y Supervisión del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) y la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO), el cual se llevó a cabo, en la sede de la CEPAL, el 27 de enero de 2000. Desde una perspectiva comparativa, las ponencias describen, respectivamente, las experiencias de gestión del gasto público en educación en países de América y España (Antonio Sancho); Centroamérica (Charles Richter); Colombia (Cecilia Vélez), y Cuba (Dirección de Educación, Ciencia Cultura y Deportes). Asimismo, permiten revisar el conocimiento disponible, a través de estudios realizados sobre costo-efectividad de las políticas educativas y de la tecnología instructiva aplicada en Costa Rica (Laurence Wolff); México (Claudio de Moura Castro, et al) y Venezuela (Nora Ghetea de Jaegerman)."
