La dimensión de género en la reforma previsional chilena (Ley no. 20.255 de reforma de pensiones)

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es analizar, en forma comparativa, las principales diferencias registradas entre mujeres y hombres en materia previsional antes y después de la Reforma al Sistema de Pensiones (Ley Nº 20.255) actualmente en fase de implementación, diferenciando grupos socioeconómicos y analizando los cambios legislativos, conceptuales, pero principalmente los avances en las pensiones de vejez de las mujeres a largo plazo. Esta reforma —plan social más importante del Gobierno de la Presidenta Bachelet— tuvo como objetivo introducir el principio de solidaridad al modelo previsional creado a principios de la década de 1980 por el régimen militar y reducir la brecha importante entre las pensiones de vejez de hombres y mujeres.
