Estimación del crecimiento potencial de América Latina

Abstract

Este trabajo aborda la estimación del producto potencial de 16 países de América Latina, a partir de una función de producción, para el período 1980-2020. Los resultados muestran que el crecimiento potencial de la región se ha incrementado sostenidamente en las últimas dos décadas, desde tasas ligeramente superiores a 2%, a inicios de los años noventa, a tasas superiores a 4%, en los últimos años, para finalmente converger en 3%, durante la próxima década.
