Cadena de valor biofarmacéutica: potencialidades y desafíos para el Uruguay

Abstract

En este documento se presenta un análisis de las potencialidades y desafíos que enfrena Uruguay para su inserción en la cadena global de valor biofarmacéutica (CGV-Biofarma). En la sección I, se descompone la cadena en tres fases principales: investigación y desarrollo, manufactura y comercialización. Para cada una de esas fases, en la sección II se presenta una síntesis de las tendencias recientes a nivel mundial. Con el mismo criterio, en la sección III se analiza la participación de Uruguay, actual o potencial, en cada una de esas fases. Finalmente, la sección IV sintetiza las propuestas que se presentan a lo largo del documento. En las mismas se enfatiza la importancia para Uruguay de participar en la CGV-Biofarma y se identifican para ello tres canales especialmente promisorios.
