Inclusión financiera en el Uruguay: análisis a través de índices sintéticos

Abstract

En este documento se proponen y analizan distintos índices para medir la inclusión financiera de los hogares uruguayos. Este esfuerzo adquiere mayor relevancia en tanto se utiliza información que inmediatamente antecede a la entrada en vigor de la Ley de Inclusión Financiera y por lo tanto se puede utilizar como línea de base. Se emplean tres fuentes alternativas de datos: la Encuesta Financiera de los Hogares Uruguayos (EFHU-2), los datos del Banco Central respecto al sistema de pagos y los datos de la Encuesta Continua de Hogares (ECH).
