Un caso de transformación productiva y comercial: Zonas francas en el Uruguay

Abstract

En la última década, la estructura de la especialización comercial del Uruguay cambió, siguiendo parcialmente la línea de transformación de la economía internacional. Los cambios en la especialización estuvieron muy vinculados a la utilización de un régimen de tratamiento especial como fue el de las zonas francas. En este marco el objetivo general de este estudio es conocer estos nuevos fenómenos y su expresión en el Uruguay dentro de la actividad económica de las zonas francas. Su objetivo específico es analizar la evolución de la actividad económica, del empleo y del comercio exterior en las empresas beneficiarias del régimen de zonas francas.
