La transformación digital de las pymes exportadoras desde una perspectiva teórica y práctica

Abstract

La internacionalización de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) ha sido ampliamente analizada desde diversas perspectivas teóricas y empíricas. La aceleración de la digitalización debido a la pandemia de enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) ha profundizado el cambio en la forma de hacer negocios en los mercados internacionales. En este contexto, la transformación digital es un factor cada vez más importante para el éxito de las pymes en el comercio internacional. Por ello, el objetivo de este documento es hacer una revisión de la literatura que permita distinguir los principales beneficios asociados a la transformación digital para la exportación según las etapas de madurez digital y las fases de exportación de las pymes, para reconocer de ese modo los principales elementos que inciden en este proceso. Sobre esta base, se busca que el documento sea un aporte para los responsables de la formulación de políticas públicas que pretenden apoyar los procesos de transformación digital de las pymes exportadoras.
