Lineamientos para la transformación productiva en Santiago del Estero

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es identificar oportunidades de transformación productiva en la provincia de Santiago del Estero a partir de sus capacidades productivas, tecnológicas e institucionales, y proponer lineamientos para la implementación de políticas públicas que contribuyan a aumentar la competitividad de la producción local y generar más empleo de calidad. Se trata de una provincia predominantemente agropecuaria y con una considerable población rural dispersa en el territorio, lo que supone grandes desafíos para ampliar su producción, el acceso a mercados y la provisión de infraestructura básica. Además, cuenta con una significativa red de ciencia y tecnología cada vez más extendida y una gran experiencia en el desarrollo de distintas actividades de larga tradición provincial, que constituyen un punto de partida promisorio para una estrategia que se proponga impulsar la transformación productiva de su territorio.
