Retos y oportunidades para atraer la inversión de la diáspora salvadoreña en los Estados Unidos hacia iniciativas de desarrollo en El Salvador

Abstract

A solicitud del Gobierno de El Salvador, la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), con el apoyo financiero del Fondo Internacional de Desarrollo Agrícola (FIDA) y la Unión Europea, brindó asistencia técnica para identificar los retos y las oportunidades de atraer las inversiones productivas de la diáspora salvadoreña en los Estados Unidos hacia su país de origen, sobre la base de datos empíricos recabados por medio de encuestas y grupos de enfoque. En este documento también se presentan recomendaciones de política pública dirigidas a fomentar la inversión productiva y financiera de la diáspora que resultan de dicho análisis y del análisis de buenas prácticas a nivel internacional.
