Abstract

Het Plan voor de begeleiding en de opvolging van werklozen, dat in juli 2004 in België ingevoerd werd, combineert stimuli en sancties. Het is enerzijds gericht op een betere begeleiding van de zoektocht naar werk, een beter opleidingsaanbod en andere activeringsmaatregelen. Anderzijds wordt het zoekgedrag naar werk van uitkeringsgerechtigde werklozen nauwgezetter gecontroleerd en worden sancties voorzien indien de inspanningen onvoldoende zijn. Deze studie evalueert de impact van de startfase van dit plan op de overgang naar werk. De evaluatie heeft betrekking op uitkeringsgerechtigde werklozen van 25 tot 29 jaar.
