“Le chômage au plus bas depuis 1992” : remettons les pendules à l’heure

Abstract

Le chômage a-t-il atteint en Belgique son niveau le plus bas depuis 1992 ? Si l’on tente de cerner la notion de chômage au sens convenu internationalement, nous montrons que (1) le chômage est plus élevé aujourd’hui qu’au début des années 90 et (2) que la récente amélioration est toute relative et bien modeste. Non, on est encore très loin de pouvoir crier victoire sur le front du chômage.
