La mejora de la calidad en la educación: reflexiones y experiencias

Abstract

Este trabajo discute la aplicación de conceptos de control de calidad y calidad total a la mejora de la calidad de la docencia en la universidad. Se presentan tres controles docentes básicos: sobre la impartición de las clases, sobre la satisfacción de los estudiantes y sobre los resultados académicos. Se comenta el importante papel de los estudiantes en los procesos de mejora dado su carácter de clientes, no únicos, del sistema universitario público. Se analiza cómo introducir la metodología de calidad total y se detalla su aplicación a la evaluación de una titulación. El trabajo finaliza presentando las actividades de mejora implantadas en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid de acuerdo con estos principios.
