El tipo de cambio real y el comercio internacional

Abstract

Este documento tiene como objetivo brindar al estudiante una introducción a la manejo del tipo de cambio real, que es el precio del bien extranjero expresado en bienes nacionales. Esta tasa es la que influye tanto en el comercio de bienes y servicios como en el flujo de inversión entre los países. El tipo de cambio real recoge los efectos de la tasa de cambio nominal y de la variación de los precios nacionales y extranjeros, por eso es un indicador más eficiente que la sola tasa de cambio nominal para evaluar si es apropiado exportar, importar o hacer una inversión en cualquier país donde se quiera proyectar la empresa. Este documento está dirigido a todas las personas interesadas en entender mejor el comportamiento del comercio entre países.
