La lógica de la inclusión financiera como política del Banco Central de la República Argentina (2015-2020)

Abstract

La lógica de la inclusión financiera, la cual refiere a la expansión y al acceso al sistema financiero de sectores históricamente marginados, es promovida por entidades multilaterales de crédito y entidades financieras privadas, y permea en la lógica de política social bancarizada de distintos gobiernos del mundo. En el caso de Argentina, uno de los organismos del Estado que utiliza esta lógica es el Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA). El presente artículo intenta identificar la noción de inclusión financiera que adopta el organismo y estudia los indicadores financieros pertinentes a partir del análisis descriptivo de los datos establecidos por el BCRA, entre 2015 y 2020. Los resultados demuestran que, si bien existe una heterogeneidad en la accesibilidad a los servicios bancarios, estos se han incrementado en los últimos años y sobre todo en el marco de la emergencia sanitaria generada por el COVID-19.
