Abstract

La tarificación al costo marginal suscita un interés creciente por parte de las companías eléctricas por dos razones. De un lado, entrega senales tarifarias que permiten revelar al consumidor los "costos verdaderos" para la satisfacción de su demanda. De otro lado le incita a reducir su consumo durante los períodos críticos del día y del ano y se evita la incursión por parte de la colectividad de costos elevados.Las empresas eléctricas que practican este tipo de tarificación dudan por lo general en la implementación de programas de "Demanad Side Mangement" (DSM). Anteponen la calidad de su senal tarifaria dirigida a los consumidores para cuestionar el interés de tales programas. Ahora bien, la implementación .
