Procesos de integración regional en América latina: un enfoque político

Abstract

Este artículo aborda el tema de la Integración Regional en América Latina desde una perspectiva política basando la investigación en las categorías de análisis propuestas por la teoría neofuncionalista. Se analiza la integración como proceso, la importancia del concepto de región, seguido por un desarrollo histórico de los procesos de integración en América Latina desde los anos 50 a la actualidad, identificando factores que han incidido en el estancamiento de los mismos. Se evaluó la favorabilidad de las características actuales del sistema regional e internacional, al igual que los actores involucrados.
