Los sindicatos en Colombia (una aproximación microeconómica)

Abstract

Este documento reflexiona desde la teoría sobre la existencia de los sindicatos y la función que estos cumplen en la economía, los efectos de su existencia en los resultados de las empresas, los salarios, el empleo y la productividad, entre otros aspectos. Asimismo revisa la experiencia internacional en estas materias a fin de presentar la realidad sindical en forma sistemática. Para esto, el estudio se centra en las características sociodemográficas de los trabajadores sindicalizados, a partir de la información de la encuesta de hogares del mes de diciembre del ano 2000, censos sindicales e información proveniente de la Escuela Nacional Sindical.
