Complementariedades espaciales y crecimiento económico

Abstract

Utilizando conceptos de economía evolutiva y modelos basados en agentes, semodela la localización de establecimientos industriales al interior de una ciudad. Esta localización genera complementariedades espaciales, definidas como procesos de retroalimentación entre las decisiones de ubicación espacial de las firmas y el espacio urbano. Simulaciones numéricas del modelo muestran que las complementariedades traen como consecuencia el surgimiento endógeno de clusters industriales al interior de la ciudad, además de aumentos en el nivel de producto de las firmas, es decir, crecimiento económico de largo plazo.
