Implementación del Modelo LWR en MATLAB para la movilidad en Bogotá

Abstract

El Grupo de Estudios Sociales en MATLAB (GESMA), surge como una iniciativa para proponer soluciones a problemas interdisciplinarios reales de la sociedad mediante ejercicios de modelamiento y simulación con MATLAB. En el presente artículo se realizará una descripción en detalle de la implementación del modelo vehicular de Lighthill Witham Richards para el flujo de tráfico en Bogotá, este modelo fue ajustado por GESMA para emular el comportamiento caótico de tres puntos críticos de la ciudad y permitió prever una situación que se mejorará en dicho punto muy pronto (Reubicación de Semáforos).
