Abstract

Esta investigación analiza la intermediación laboral en Colombia en el 2003. Para ello, se realiza la estimación de modelos de elección múltiple permitiendo examinar qué hace más propensos a los agentes a emplear un mecanismo particular. Adicionalmente. a partir de la teoría de la búsqueda de empleo y la duración del desempleo se desarrolla un modelo de supervivencia que permite identificar el impacto del uso de los canales de búsqueda en la duración del desempleo Se encuentra que los canales eficientes en la intermediación laboral son aquellos que implican la participación activa del buscador.
