Abstract

"En este trabajo se actualiza la información general contenida en Fedesarrollo (2008) y se avanzan unas reflexiones sobre los diferentes tipos de minería y los impactos macroeconómicos de la actividad. El documento tiene cinco secciones, aparte de esta introducción. En la segunda sección se contextualiza al sector minero colombiano en el mundo; en la tercera, se hace una breve caracterización del sector minero en Colombia; la cuarta parte da una mirada amplia a los diferentes tipos de minería; en la quinta parte, se hace un recuento de aspectos macroeconómicos que atanen directamente al sector minero; La sexta parte, analiza algunos retos del sector y adelanta unas conclusiones y recomendaciones, que podrán ser profundizadas en etapas posteriores del estudio."
