La erradicación de las minas antipersonal sembradas en Colombia - Implicaciones y costos-

Abstract

El Estado colombiano ratificó el 6 de septiembre del ano 2000 la Convención sobre “la prohibición del empleo, almacenamiento, producción y transferencia de minas antipersonal y sobre su destrucción”, la cual entró en vigor a partir del 1 de marzo del ano 2001. De esta forma el país quedó comprometido a destruir todas las existencias de MAP, antes del 1 de marzo del 2005 y las minas sembradas en el territorio en un plazo no mayor a 10 anos. por tal razón, la Dirección de Justicia y Seguridad del Departamento Nacional de Planeación, realizó una revisión del estado del arte en la materia y desarrolló un ejercicio de estimación de los costos del desminado de las zonas sembradas de Minas Antipersonal MAP.
