Abstract

El análisis de las relaciones comerciales con los Estados Unidos, resulta particularmente importante ante las expectativas de un posible acuerdo bilateral y la entrada en vigencia del Área de Libre Comercio de las Américas (ALCA). Dentro de este contexto, el renovado programa de la Ley de Preferencias Arancelarias Andina y de Erradicación de Narcóticos (ATPDEA), basado en la anterior Ley de Preferencias Arancelarias Andina (ATPA) desde 1993, ofrece grandes posibilidades para las exportaciones a los mercados estadounidenses de productos colombianos, y en particular del Valle del Cauca.
