Programas de Transferencia Monetaria Condicionada y desarrollo psicosocial infantil: evidencia del impacto de JUNTOS durante los primeros 4 anos de vida

Abstract

Este artículo evalúa los efectos del Programa de Transferencia Monetaria Condicionada JUNTOS en Perú sobre las competencias de agencia, autoestima, relación con los padres y relación con los demás observadas alrededor de los 11-12 anos. Para ello, se compara el desempeno de aquellos ninos afiliados por primera vez al programa durante los primeros 4 anos de vida, respecto de aquellos afiliados por primera vez después de los 5 anos. El primer grupo de ninos fue expuesto durante una etapa crítica de inversión en capital humano, tuvo mayor demanda de servicios de salud durante primera infancia y mayor intensidad de tratamiento. Los resultados sugieren mayores impactos para este primer grupo de ninos. No obstante, estos efectos están estimados de forma imprecisa.
