Etnoeducación y desempeno escolar en la región pacífica colombiana

Abstract

Este artículo explora la influencia del modelo etnoeducativo sobre el logro escolar de los estudiantes del Pacífico usando análisis cuantitativo y con alguna evidencia cualitativa que permita contextualizar los resultados. Dentro de la aproximación cuantitativa, y con el objetivo de encontrar efectos causales, se usa un modelo de efectos fijos en el cual se explota la distribución aleatoria de docentes dentro de las IE en cada área de ensenanza. Para el segundo enfoque, se hicieron entrevistas a rectores y coordinadores de Instituciones etnoeducadoras para conocer las prácticas educativas que desarrollan al interior del aula escolar. Los resultados econométricos indican que la proporción de docentes etnoeducadores en un área de conocimiento está asociado con mayor logro escolar. Esto lo corrobora también la evidencia cualitativa, al mostrar que en las instituciones educativas se incentiva el aprendizaje involucrando a la comunidad educativa (padres de familia, docentes y estudiantes) lo cual motiva los procesos de ensenanza - aprendizaje.
