La contribution des technologies de l'information et de communication dans la performance des marchés électroniques

Abstract

L’objectif de ce papier est d’analyser quelques aspects théoriques de l’économie industrielle liés aux technologies de l’information et de communication. Nous nous intéressons en particulier aux activités marchandes utilisant Internet comme endroit d’échange privilégié, c’est à dire le commerce électronique. Ce dernier est connu comme un marché parfait et sans friction, se rapprochant ainsi de l’idéal-type du marché Walrasien et de la théorie de la concurrence pure et parfaite. L’objectif de ce travail est de répondre à une série de questions telles que : Quelles sont les particularités du commerce électronique par rapport au commerce traditionnel? Quels sont les critères d’efficience des marchés électroniques? Sont-ils plus concurrentiels que les marchés physiques ? Quel est le surplus du consommateur dans ce nouveau marché digital? Enfin, quelle est la contribution de l’activité marchande électronique dans la croissance économique?
