Abstract

La Aldea Mbya-guaraní "Guavira Poty" ("flor de guavirá") se encuentra en la cima de un cerro en el paraje Paraíso, municipio de San Pedro, Misiones, a unos 10 kilómetros al oeste de la ruta nacional 14. El asentamiento “Guavira Poty” se sitúa cerca del extremo Este de una estrecha propiedad de 3326 hectáreas, un remanente de mensura donado en el año 1989 por el Estado de la provincia de Misiones a la "Asociación de Comunidades del Pueblo Guaraní" (Ley 2704/89, posteriormente modificada por la Ley 3323, con escritura traslativa de dominio firmada en noviembre de 1994).
