Eva Perón y la organización política de las mujeres
Abstract
Este artículo trata de indagar el proceso de incorporación política de las mujeres durante el primer gobierno peronista. Dos hechos se revelan como significativos: el primero fue la aprobación de la ley de sufragio femenino en 1947, con la consecuente oportunidad de que las mujeres votaran y fuesen votadas; y el segundo, la creación del Partido Peronista Femenino (PPF), que buscó su incorporación masiva en la política. El Partido Peronista Femenino se fundó el 29 de julio de 1949 en el marco de la primera Asamblea Organizativa del Partido Peronista. El PPF nació como una organización política, compuesta exclusivamente por mujeres, que contó con una estructura y células operativas propias y fue crucial para que Juan Domingo Perón obtuviera la reelección para su segundo mandato presidencial. El PPF estaba presidido por Eva Perón, no ya en su rol de Primera Dama sino como una líder política que alcanzó un poder impensado para una mujer a mediados del siglo XX.
