Instrumentos derivados para cobertura de tipos de cambio y tasas de interés de las reservas internacionales del Banco Central de Bolivia

Abstract

Como parte del proceso de diversificación, las reservas internacionales del Banco Central se encuentran invertidas en diferentes monedas y en diferentes plazos de inversión. Con el objetivo de reducir el riesgo de mercado generado por el nuevo contexto económico internacional se propone la revisión de instrumentos financieros derivados que permitan delimitar los riesgos a los cuales las reservas internacionales se encuentran expuestas. Es por ello que el presente documento tiene el objetivo de revisar la cobertura de riesgo cambiario y riesgo de tasa de interés para una posible aplicación en los portafolios de inversión.
