¿Influye la cartera de créditos en la dinámica de la inversión privada en Bolivia?

Abstract

Las entidades financieras tienen un rol importante como canalizadoras de recursos hacia nuevos emprendimientos generando una mayor inversión, y por tanto, mayor crecimiento económico. En países con mercados de capitales poco desarrollados, la disponibilidad del crédito bancario se constituye probablemente en la fuente más importante para cubrir las necesidades de inversión de las empresas. El presente trabajo, a partir de un modelo de corrección de errores, analiza los determinantes de la inversión en el largo y corto plazo e indaga sobre el posible efecto del crédito en su trayectoria. Las principales conclusiones del trabajo muestran que el acceso al financiamiento influiría en las decisiones de inversión en el corto plazo.
