Redes familiares y el comercio en Cartagena: el caso de Rafael del Castillo & Co., 1861-1960

Abstract

Es probable que en un estudio comparativo sobre las casas de comercio que existieron en Colombia en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX se encuentre mayor evidencia de similitudes, que de diferencias regionales. Las monografías sobre comerciantes antioqueños, por ejemplo, que han sido las más numerosas, han mostrado a una burguesía muy parecida a su contemporánea en la Costa Caribe, en su mentalidad, en sus vínculos mercantiles, y en su estructura económica básica.
