Demanda de Exportaciones no Tradicionales en Colombia

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo es estudiar y ponderar las posibles relaciones existentes entre el nivel de las exportaciones no tradicionales colombianas totales y según socio comercial, con el PIB del país que demanda dichas exportaciones y el índice de tasa de cambio real bilateral o total según corresponda. La deducción de esta función de demanda de exportaciones no tradicionales en Colombia se lleva a cabo a través de un análisis de cointegración multivariado, el cual examina la existencia de una relación de largo plazo entre las exportaciones menores, la demanda externa y los precios relativos. La interpretación de las respectivas elasticidades comprende varios enfoques que van desde la obtención de las mismas a partir del vector de cointegración hasta el análisis de la función de impulso respuesta. La conveniencia de uno u otro enfoque se analiza más adelante.
