Abstract

This report summarizes the results of a research project carried out by the Bank of Italy over the last two years. The report provides an updated picture of the territorial divides in Italy with reference to the productive system, the labour market, business financing and context factors and identifies some priority interventions to strengthen the productive structure and improve the public action in the South.
