Moneda digital emitida por Bancos Centrales: opciones, ventajas y desventajas

Abstract

Las criptomonedas están abriendo el camino a monedas digitales de bancos centrales (CBDC). En este artículo se detallan los pros y los contras de emitir CBDC en cuatro variantes: desde las propuestas más modestas, en las que el riesgo y el beneficio son relativamente reducidos, hasta las más ambiciosas en que habría una grave perturbación de la intermediación financiera.
