Abstract

En este trabajo se discuten las posiciones competitivas a la luz del modelo propuesto por Parnell (2006) en el sector portuario. Para ello se analizan las principales características de los puertos y a través de su utilización en el sector portuario de cargas este trabajo concluye que el modelo referido puede resultar de gran relevancia académica y para la práctica profesional. Asimismo, se exponen y discuten distintas visiones sobre los modelos de estrategias competitivas, proponiendo la necesidad de un modelo que integre los distintos aspectos clave en la posición competitiva de las organizaciones.
