Abstract

Este estudio busca hacer visibles los lazos entre movilidad social y protección social en materia de cuidados. El objetivo es estudiar las oportunidades de elección y logros de vida de las mujeres. En particular, se plantea un enfoque de desarrollo humano más amplio que, más allá de la educación, salud y la seguridad social, integra el aporte del trabajo de cuidados remunerados y no remunerados al bienestar y la movilidad social de las personas. Los resultados confirman que los servicios de cuidado para la primera infancia y otros grupos de población, la seguridad social a lo largo de la vida en los hogares de origen y las oportunidades de las mujeres para participar en el mercado laboral tiene efectos positivos sobre su movilidad social.
