«Movilidad social intergeneracional y desigualdad de oportunidades en México. Educación y activos: un enfoque territorial»

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como primer objetivo presentar los patrones de movilidad social y de desigualdad entre generaciones en diferentes territorios de México. En particular, se busca saber en qué territorios un mayor porcentaje de la población tiene como destino niveles de educación y riqueza (en términos de activos) altos, cuáles son los determinantes en cada territorio para lograr esas ventajas, y cuál es el peso que tienen las circunstancias familiares y territoriales en explicar la desigualdad de oportunidades observada. Además, este estudio proporciona aspectos metodológicos relevantes para facilitar futuras investigaciones en el tema.
