Abstract

Es tarea de este ensayo examinar analíticamente diversos indicadores regionales, para afrontar un contexto de información muy limitada, de modo tal de conocer el verdadero significado de sus potenciales valores. Trabajaremos sobre algunos indicadores, ya presentes en la literatura, como el Coeficiente de Localización y el Índice de Especialización. Discutiremos analíticamente estos índices; y, como remate de tales reflexiones, propondremos nuevos nombres para los mismos. Además, dentro de la misma línea analítica, formularemos otros nuevos indicadores. Vamos a presentar varios Índices de Concentración e Índices de Especialización, que pueden agruparse en dos categorías, que catalogamos como “índices absolutos” e “índices relativos”.
