A Difusão Da Telefonia Fixa Nosdomicílios Brasileiros

Abstract

Este artigo estima modelos de difusão para os serviços de telefonia fixa domiciliary no Brasil. Os resultados apontam que o efeito de rede é importante e que regiões com mais orelhões têm crescimento mais acelerado na disseminação do serviço fixo. Ademais, regiões menos desenvolvidas estariam se aproximando das regiões mais desenvolvidas, mas esta convergência estaria sendo mitigada pelo efeito de rede. Finalmente, confirmando as evidências da literatura prévia, é modesto o efeito da redução da assinatura do Plano Básico regulado pela Anatel – na disseminação da telefonia fixa nos domicílios urbanos. Entretanto, o impacto em áreas rurais é bastante alto.
