Este artigo representa essencialmente um estudo de impacto que visa capturar as mudanças na produtividade da pequena agricultura familiar no Brasil que podem ser atribuídas ao acesso desse segmento às linhas de crédito do Programa nacional de fortalecimento da agricultura familiar (PRONAF). Tal avaliação é feita pelo estudo das mudanças no crescimento da produtividade capturadas pelo índice Tornqvist-Theil de produtividade multifator. A principal conclusão do estudo é a de que a produtividade das culturas mais beneficiadas pelo PRONAF vem crescendo a taxas anuais não muito diferentes das taxas associadas às culturas familiares excluídas do programa. Tal fato indica ausência de impacto produtivo significativo do programa.
