Abstract

Viele unterschätzen die Bereitschaft anderer, zum Klimaschutz beizutragen – und das hat Folgen. Die Menschen in Deutschland unterschätzen sowohl die Bereitschaft ihrer Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger zum Kampf gegen den Klimawandel als auch die vorherrschenden sozialen Normen. Wie sich am Beispiel von Spendenentscheidungen für den Klimaschutz zeigen lässt, beeinflusst diese Fehleinschätzung auch die eigene Bereitschaft, etwas gegen den Klimawandel zu unternehmen. Durch entsprechende Aufklärung ließe sich klimafreundliches Verhalten fördern.
